On August 29, 2011, a delegation of 8 headed by the chief administrative officer of the Danish Zealand regional government, Jens Andersen, paid a friendly visit to our college. She was accompanied by the Zealand Regional Government Development and International Relations chief consulting officer Kristian Primdal, the Zealand Regional Government Committee Jeans Sternbak, the vice president of Roskilde University Hanne Leth Andersen and the dean of Zealand College Ulla Koch.. The Deputy Dean of the College of Education, Professor Xu Xiaozhou, Director of the Department of Education, Professor Wu Xueping, Foreign Affairs Assistant Song Gilsun and Dr. Mei Weihui attended the meeting.
On behalf of the college, Dean Xu Xiaozhou extended a warm welcome to the delegation of Zealand. Dean Xu first introduced the college's basic overview, academic settings, teaching and research characteristics, personnel training as well as international exchange and cooperation activities, and reviewed the exchange and cooperation work between our college and Roskilde University. Jens Andersen gave a brief introduction to the basic situation of Zealand area of Denmark. The Vice--president of Roskilde University, Jens Andersen, and The Dean Koch of Zealand College communicated with each other in terms of their respective academic settings, curriculum selection, personnel training, international exchanges, and other areas, and both sides communicated and discussed in detail about the related areas in which they can cooperate. Following the discussion, the College of Education at Zhejiang University and the Roskilde University signed the exchange and cooperation agreement. Both sides will reached consensus to exchange teachers and students, conduct joint research and cooperation, co-sponsor international conferences as well as develop cooperation in areas like E-Learning and ICT.
After the meeting, Dean Xu and the delegation exchanged souvenirs. Jens Andersen welcomed the signing of the agreement and expected to further strengthen exchanges and consolidate and promote more and extensive cooperation between the two universities.
